New: sync mode — migrate only what changed

Move WordPress content without touching the server.

Posts, pages, media, categories, comments, custom fields — from one WordPress site to another over the REST API. No FTP, no database access, no file downloads.

Free plan: 25 posts per migration. No credit card.

What travels

Everything a page is made of. Not just its text.

Migration tools love to move the article and forget the rest. WPMove carries the pieces a page breaks without.

Sync mode

Migrate once. Then only what changed.

Keep writing on the old site while the new one is being built. Every later run brings over the posts, pages and files modified since the last successful migration towards that target — nothing else.

Tracks the last successful run per source → target pair, with a 5-minute safety margin for clock drift.
Falls back to a full migration by itself when it must — a new content type, a run that hit the plan limit, a run that ended with errors.
Additive, never a mirror: nothing is ever deleted on the target.
Why WPMove

Built for the migration you actually have to do on a Tuesday.

Application Passwords only

A native WordPress feature, revocable in one click. No SSH, no FTP, no database credentials ever leave your sites.

Runs in the background

Start it, close the tab. Pages are processed in short jobs that survive PHP timeouts; you get an email when it's done.

Safe to run twice

Already-migrated content is recognised on the target. Skip it, or replace it — your choice, never a duplicate.

Retry only what failed

A flaky host, a rate limit, a 404: the log tells you which items failed, and one button retries exactly those.

Sites behind firewalls

Localhost, staging under HTTP auth, an intranet: the Connector migrates from the inside, in either direction.

Quotas that make sense

Media credits count real transfers only. Files already on the target, or reused across runs, cost nothing.

Pricing

Questions

Before you connect two sites.

The connection test says "Not Found". What now?

Nine times out of ten the site uses plain permalinks, which hide the REST API. Switch to any other permalink structure in Settings › Permalinks and test again.

Do I have to give WPMove my WordPress password?

No. You create an Application Password in your WordPress profile — a separate key you can revoke at any time. It is stored encrypted and never shown again.

My site runs on localhost or behind a firewall.

wpmove.app cannot reach it, but the Connector plugin can migrate from the inside: install it on that site, paste your API key, and pull or push.

What if something fails halfway?

Nothing is lost. Migrated items stay, the log names each failed one, and on Pro and Unlimited plans a single button retries exactly those.
